Detailed  Itinerary

DAY 1 - Welcome to Rio de Janeiro 

Arrival in one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

 

In the evening, enjoy a romantic sunset cruise on Guanabara Bay, with the illuminated Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer as your backdrop.

 

Stop for a swim at Adão e Eva Beach, accompanied by drinks served on board for an unforgettable moment together. Toast with champagne to celebrate the start of your extraordinary journey!

 

Overnight at Eco Pousada Estrelas da Babilônia or the very comfortable Scorial Rio Hotel (3 stars), with a romantic welcome in your room, including flowers and a personalized note.

DAY 2 - Atlantic Forest & Wonders of Rio

Start the morning with a local wildlife specialist in Tijuca National Park, the lush green heart of Rio, exploring the rich ecosystems of the Atlantic Forest. Spot tamarin monkeys, toucans, coatis, and refreshing waterfalls along the way. Afterwards, enjoy an immersive visit to Rio’s Botanical Garden, one of the richest on the continent.

In the afternoon, take the scenic train ride up to Christ the Redeemer on Corcovado, the city’s iconic landmark. Later, ascend Sugarloaf Mountain by cable car to watch the sunset and take in breathtaking panoramic views. Skip-the-line tickets are included so you can fully enjoy these unforgettable moments without waiting: the perfect spots for photos together.

In the evening, savor a candlelit dinner at a charming, romantic restaurant in Santa Teresa.

DAY 3 - Heading to the Amazon

In the morning, enjoy a morning walk along the beach or wander through the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa, with its cobbled streets, artist studios, and panoramic views over the city.

Next, take a flight to Manaus, the iconic capital of the Brazilian Amazon and the gateway to the world’s largest tropical rainforest.

​

Upon arrival, settle in for the night at TRYP by Wyndham Manaus, a comfortable and conveniently located hotel, perfect for a restful stop before your full immersion into the jungle.

DAY 4 - Into the heart of the Amazon

From Manaus, head to one of the most beautiful regions of the Brazilian Amazon: the Anavilhanas Archipelago, along the banks of the majestic Rio Negro.

Upon arrival, settle in at Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, an exceptional retreat, perhaps the finest lodge in the entire Amazon, offering the perfect balance between refined comfort and deep immersion in the rainforest and the calm river waters.

Begin your experience with a ride in a traditional caboclo canoe, gliding gently through the winding streams twisting through the forest. Listen to the symphony of the forest and admire the magical reflections on the river in this unique setting.

In the evening, embark on a nighttime boat excursion beneath a star-studded sky. Drift along the waters in search of nocturnal wildlife: birds, snakes, sloths, and caimans that awaken in the forest at night.

DAY 5 - Magical day in the Amazon

Wake up early to witness the spectacular Amazon sunrise, as the first light paints the sky and awakens the forest.

​

Then, join a passionate guide for a walk through the dry forest. Discover the secrets of the trees, fruits, birds, and ants, and immerse yourself in the vibrant life of this extraordinary ecosystem.

​

In the afternoon, try your hand at fishing in the igarapés, where you can catch piranhas and other fish while enjoying the serenity of the dark waters. (During the dry season, this activity is replaced by a walk through the flooded forest.)

​

To end the day, embark on another nighttime excursion to experience the forest’s nocturnal wildlife under a canopy of stars.

DAY 6 - Final moments in the Amazon and flight to the Pantanal

On this final morning in the Amazon, set out on an adventure through the countless channels, lakes, and islands of the Anavilhanas Archipelago, one of the largest in the world. Enjoy an unforgettable journey along the water, surrounded by pristine landscapes and unexpected encounters with the pink dolphins of the Rio Negro.

​

After the activity, return to Manaus for your transfer to the airport.

DAY 7 - First steps in the land of the jaguars

Breakfast in Cuiabá, then depart by private vehicle to the renowned Pousada Piuval, located at the northern entrance of the Pantanal. Nestled in the heart of a vast private fazenda, this lodge is a true paradise for nature lovers. Surrounded by gallery forests, flooded savannas, and lagoons, the region is home to exceptional wildlife: caimans, capybaras, macaws, peccaries, marsh deer, and more.

 

After settling in, enjoy a relaxing afternoon to soak up the unique atmosphere, moments of calm together on the terrace or by the pool.

 

In the evening, embark on a 4x4 night safari, searching for the animals that come alive after dark: coatis, foxes, owls, tapirs, and more.

DAY 8 - Safari adventures, scenic hikes, and more

Wake up before dawn for a 4x4 safari in the soft morning light: the perfect time to observe wildlife at its most active. With a little luck, you may spot the elusive giant anteater, as well as marsh deer, coatis, foxes, and numerous bird species typical of the Pantanal.

In the afternoon, set out on a guided walking tour along the fazenda’s ecological trails. Encounter several species of monkeys and, if you’re fortunate, witness the magnificent hyacinth macaw, the world’s largest parrot, endangered.

The day ends in spectacular fashion atop the observation tower, where you can enjoy a magical sunset over the vast, open landscapes of the Pantanal.

DAY 9 - Riding through the savanna, heading toward paradise

Start the day with a pleasant horseback ride through the flooded plains of the Pantanal, a truly authentic and romantic way to explore this unique ecosystem.

​

After lunch at Pousada Piuval, depart for Porto Jofre along the legendary Transpantaneira, a track punctuated by wooden bridges and breathtaking scenes of wild nature. Frequent stops provide opportunities to photograph birds, caimans, and other wildlife.

​

Arrive in the late afternoon at your riverside accommodation: either the very comfortable Santa Rosa Lodge or the unique Float Hotel Aguapé, setting the stage for a completely new experience in the heart of the territory of the Americas’ largest wild cat.​

DAY 10 - Tracking jaguars: safaris in the Pantanal

A full day dedicated to observing jaguars, the majestic predators of the Pantanal. Board small, fast boats to explore the channels of the Rio Cuiabá and its tributaries, where these great cats come to rest, hunt, or mate.

These river safaris are led by experienced, passionate pilots who operate with deep respect for nature. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to spot an incredibly rich array of wildlife: giant otters, capybaras, caimans, egrets, jabirus, and a multitude of tropical birds.

DAY 11 - Another full day in search of jaguars

Start the day early once again to track jaguars and discover the Pantanal’s remarkable wildlife.

DAY 12 - From savanna to mountains: heading to Chapada dos Guimarães

Start the day with a half-day safari to spot jaguars and giant otters.

After your final morning in the Pantanal, it’s time for a change of scenery. Travel along the Transpantaneira toward Chapada dos Guimarães, a spectacular region where red mountains, sheer cliffs, and crystal-clear waterfalls replace the flooded plains.

​

Check in at Pousada do Parque, an exceptional retreat nestled within a private reserve on the edge of the national park. Surrounded by nature, you’ll have front-row seats to observe toucans, monkeys, and macaws that inhabit the area.

DAY 13 - Exploring Chapada’s natural wonders

Today, set out to explore the unique landscapes of Chapada dos Guimarães on customizable excursions, accompanied by passionate local guides.

Depending on your interests, you can:

  • Hike to panoramic viewpoints such as Morro São Jerônimo or the Rio Claro valley, taking in breathtaking vistas of the park;

  • Visit caves and natural pools, formed over millions of years of erosion;

  • Embark on a 4x4 adventure through the “Cidade das Pedras,” an impressive rock labyrinth sculpted by time and the elements.

A day paced by nature, blending contemplation, fascinating geology, and total immersion in the Brazilian cerrado.

DAY 14 - Discovering Chapada’s natural treasures

On your final day in Chapada dos Guimarães, embark on a hike along the famous Waterfalls Trail in the heart of the national park. This iconic route reveals several crystal-clear waterfalls and natural pools, perfect for a refreshing swim in the heart of nature.

At the end of the trail, reach the Veu da Noiva viewpoint, overlooking an 86-meter-high waterfall, one of Chapada’s most iconic sights. With a bit of luck, you may witness the aerial ballet of red macaws as they perch on the cliffs at sunset.

DAY 15 - Back to Cuiaba

After breakfast, return to Cuiabá for your departure flight or to continue your journey to other regions of Brazil..
