Itinerary

Day 1

Your wildlife guide welcomes you at the Cuiabá airport, and together you head toward the lush highlands of Chapada dos Guimarães. After about 1.5 hours on the road, you arrive at a comfortable lodge where you can settle in and drop off your luggage. In the late afternoon, you'll visit the iconic Véu de Noiva waterfall, an 86-meter cascade plunging into a canyon often filled with colorful macaws, just in time for sunset. After soaking in the views and the golden light, you'll return to the lodge for a peaceful night surrounded by nature.

Days 2-3

For two days, you get to choose your adventures, depending on your interests and pace. Options include:

  • Scenic hikes with breathtaking views: Morro São Jerônimo, Vale do Rio Claro, and Crista de Galo

  • Caves and crystal waters: Gruta Aroe-Jari and Gruta da Lagoa Azul

  • Waterfall fun: Águas do Cerrado or the Circuito das Cachoeiras for a day of swimming and relaxing

Our guides help tailor each day to suit your family’s rhythm and curiosity.

Day 4

Back on the road to Cuiabá, we continue our journey toward the iconic Transpantaneira Road and into the heart of the Pantanal. Our destination is Pousada Piuval, a beautiful ranch nestled in a vast, wildlife-rich landscape where we’ll spend the next two nights. After settling into the lodge, it’s time for your first Pantanal adventure: a daytime adventure by 4x4, exploring open fields, wetlands, and forested areas. We’ll stay out until sunset, when the light is golden and wildlife activity peaks, offering a spectacular welcome to this unique ecosystem. You might even spot your first jaguar!

Day 5

Get ready for a day packed with nature and adventure! In the morning, set out on horseback across open fields and forested trails, a fun way to explore the landscape and spot wildlife. After a delicious lunch, a guided nature walk takes you deeper into the surroundings, revealing animal tracks, birds, and the hidden details of the Pantanal. After some time to relax at the lodge, we head out again after dark for an exciting night safari, when the nocturnal world comes alive. Keep your eyes out for armadillos, foxes, owls and if we’re lucky, even an ocelot or a giant anteater. It’s a day full of various activities, perfect for curious minds of all ages.

Day 6

After breakfast, we continue our journey deeper into the Pantanal, following the legendary Transpantaneira road all the way to Porto Jofre. This stretch is a true safari on wheels, we’ll take our time, stopping often to enjoy and photograph the incredible wildlife along the way: caimans, capybaras, jabiru storks, marsh deer, and throusands of birds. We arrive at our amazing lodge in the late afternoon and settle in, surrounded by the sounds and sights of wild nature. The real jaguar adventure begins tomorrow.

Days 7-8

For two unforgettable days, from sunrise to sunset, you’ll glide through the Pantanal’s sprawling river labyrinth, one of the planet’s most extraordinary wild jaguar habitats. But the magic goes even beyond jaguars: keep your eyes open for playful giant river otters weaving through the water, capybaras lazing by the shore, the haunting calls of howler monkeys echoing through the trees, and an explosion of colorful birds filling the sky. Our comfortable boats, expert guides, and flexible schedule give you all the time you need. From the youngest explorers to grown-ups, everyone will find unforgettable moments to marvel at, whether it’s the thrilling face-to-face encounter with a jaguar or the surprising splash of an iguana diving into the water.

Day 9

After early breakfast, we set out early for a final half-day boat safari, offering one last chance to encounter magnificent jaguars and other wildlife as the morning light bathes the Pantanal in golden hues. Following this unforgettable experience, we begin our journey back along the Transpantaneira toward Cuiabá. Though the road may feel familiar, there’s always one last surprise waiting just around the bend. With hearts full of joy and minds rich with unforgettable moments, we say goodbye, for now,  to this wild corner of Brazil.
