Over the course of three weeks, you’ll be immersed in extraordinary landscapes, guided by expert naturalists, biologists, and wildlife photographers. This expedition is designed to maximize your chances of observing and photographing wildlife in privileged conditions: from over 350 bird species to majestic big cats, giant anteaters, monkeys, capybaras, and a dazzling array of reptiles and aquatic life.
Carefully chosen lodges provide both comfort and authenticity, seamlessly integrated into nature. Days are filled with river and land safaris, night excursions, birdwatching hides, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, and unique encounters with local fauna. Detailed Itinerary
DAYS 1–3: Atlantic Forest & Trilha dos Tucanos Lodge
Arrive in São Paulo and transfer approximately 4 hours to Trilha dos Tucanos Lodge, a sanctuary for over 350 bird species. Spend your days photographing colorful toucans, tanagers, trogons, hummingbirds, raptors, and kingfishers at specially designed hides and feeders. Enjoy guided walks along forest trails and quiet clearings to capture birds in natural behaviors.
On Day 3, depart for Intervales State Park, a pristine section of the Atlantic Forest, and settle in at Pousada Pica-Pau, a lodge nestled in untouched nature. Here, enjoy the forest ambiance and the sounds of wildlife around your room.

DAYS 4–5: Intervales State Park
Explore Intervales State Park with expert ornithologists, discovering rare and endemic birds, including vibrant tanagers, toucans, and forest specialists.
Walk the trails through dense forest and open clearings, learning about ecosystem dynamics, nesting behaviors, and forest ecology. Photograph unique species and immerse yourself in a peaceful environment away from human activity.

DAYS 6–9: Amazon Rainforest & Anavilhanas Archipelago
Fly to Manaus, the gateway to the Amazon. Transfer to Anavilhanas Jungle Lodge, located in the heart of one of the world’s largest freshwater archipelagos. Here, refined comfort meets deep immersion in the rainforest.

Glide along calm blackwater channels in traditional canoes, photographing reflections and wildlife.

Walk in dry forests with expert guides, discovering trees, fruits, birds, and insects.

DAYS 10–14: Southern Pantanal – Fazenda San Francisco & Bonito
Fly to Campo Grande and transfer to Fazenda San Francisco, a premier lodge in the southern Pantanal. Activities include:

Day & night 4x4 safaris across open savannas and wetlands, spotting marsh deer, toucans, jabirus, howler monkeys, giant anteaters, and possibly jaguars or pumas.

Horseback rides through forests and fields, offering intimate wildlife encounters.

River safaris and piranha fishing in Bonito’s crystal-clear waters.

Visit Buraco das Araras, a 100m-deep sinkhole hosting dozens of macaws and other rare birds.

Days 15–21: Northern Pantanal – Porto Jofre & Jaguar Safaris
Flight to Cuiabá and follow the Transpantaneira, a legendary dirt road crossing wetlands and forests. Arrive in Porto Jofre, staying at Santa Rosa Lodge or the Aguapé Float Hotel, perfectly located in jaguar territory.

5.5 days of river safaris (~55h) led by certified naturalists and experienced jaguar trackers.

Spot jaguars, giant otters, capybaras, caimans, tapirs, and hundreds of birds in their natural habitats.

Early mornings and late afternoons maximize sightings and photography with optimal light.

Explore Rio Cuiabá and its tributaries by fast boats, observing jaguar hunting, resting, feeding, and territorial behaviors.
Return to Cuiabá on Day 21 for departure or onward travel.
