Itinerary
Day 1
Your wildlife guide welcomes you at Cuiabá, and together you head toward the lush highlands of Chapada dos Guimarães. After about 1.5 hours on the road, you arrive at a comfortable lodge where you can settle in and drop off your luggage. In the late afternoon, you'll visit the iconic Véu de Noiva waterfall, an 86-meter cascade plunging into a canyon often filled with colorful macaws, just in time for sunset. After soaking in the views and the golden light, you'll return to the lodge for a peaceful night surrounded by nature.
Days 2-3
For two days, you get to choose your adventures, depending on your interests and pace. Options include:
-
Scenic hikes with breathtaking views: Morro São Jerônimo, Vale do Rio Claro, and Crista de Galo
-
Caves and crystal waters: Gruta Aroe-Jari and Gruta da Lagoa Azul
-
Waterfall fun: Águas do Cerrado or the Circuito das Cachoeiras for a day of swimming and relaxing
Our guides help tailor each day to suit your rhythm and curiosity.
Day 4
After breakfast, we leave the highlands of Chapada and head toward the wild heart of the Pantanal. Your private guide drives you through changing landscapes until we reach Poconé and begin the legendary Transpantaneira — a dirt road lined with over 100 wooden bridges and incredible wildlife.
As we travel slowly, keep your eyes out for capybaras, caimans, marsh deer, jabirus, spoonbills, toucans, and more. This is a safari on wheels, and we’ll stop often to enjoy the sights.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Porto Jofre, at the edge of the river and deep in jaguar country. Settle into your ecolodge, sip a welcome drink, and relax as the sun sets over the wetlands.
Days 5-6
Spend two unforgettable days exploring the rivers of the Pantanal, the best places on Earth to observe wild jaguars. From sunrise to sunset, your private boat takes you deep into this maze of waterways, guided by experts who know just where to look.
Beyond jaguars, the Pantanal is alive with surprises: giant otters playing in the shallows, capybaras soaking up the sun, howler monkeys calling from the treetops, and skies filled with macaws, hawks, and kingfishers.
The boat is comfortable and stable, ideal for photography and close sightings. With a flexible schedule, we follow the light, the animals, and your rhythm, ensuring every moment counts, whether it’s a thrilling big cat encounter or the sudden splash of an iguana diving into the river.
Day 7
After early breakfast, we set out early for a final half-day boat safari, offering one last chance to encounter magnificent jaguars and other wildlife as the morning light bathes the Pantanal in golden hues. Following this unforgettable experience, we begin our journey back along the Transpantaneira toward Cuiabá. Though the road may feel familiar, there’s always one last surprise waiting just around the bend. With hearts full of joy and minds rich with unforgettable moments, we say goodbye, for now, to this wild corner of Brazil.
